  • A lot of rubbish around the large pond
  • Not great for long walks, unless your dog can be well-behaved on a golf course

 

Travel Information

  • Drive - Free roadside parking is available at Sannox Gardens
  • Walk - You can access Alexandra Park from Sannox Gardens, Provan Road and Alexandra Parade/Cumbernauld Road. 
  • Rail - Trains run frequently from Glasgow Queen Street to Alexandra Parade. Take a left out of the station onto Alexandra Parade/Cumbernauld Road. The park is a short walk down the road on the left. 

Before travelling by train, it’d be worth having a quick read of National Rail’s policy on travelling with animals.

Please note that buses are not obliged to accept non-service dogs. For that reason we haven’t included bus routes.

Our review

Alexandra Park is one of the East End's largest parks and is located just off Alexandra Parade in Dennistoun.

Alexandra Park is ideal for a gentle stroll and is worth visiting for its picturesque gardens and Saracen Fountain.
